What We Believe
We believe-the Bible is divinely and verbally inspired—God guided its writing, and it is fully trustworthy in all it teaches.
We believe- in one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
We believe- Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us.
We believe- all people have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Repentance is necessary and commanded by God in order to receive forgiveness.
We believe- in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. It is by His blood that we are made right with God (justified), made new (regenerated), and spiritually reborn.
We believe- in sanctification—a process of being made holy after being born again—through faith in Christ, the Word of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
We believe- God calls His people to live in holiness, which is His standard for Christian living.
We believe- in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which comes after a person’s heart has been cleansed by God.
We believe- in speaking in tongues as the Spirit enables, and that this is the initial sign of being baptized in the Holy Spirit.
We believe- in water baptism by immersion. All who repent and believe should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe- divine healing is available to all through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross.
We believe- in practicing the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and the washing of one another’s feet as acts of humility and remembrance.
We believe- in the return of Jesus before His thousand-year reign on earth (the premillennial second coming). First, He will raise the righteous dead and gather living believers to Himself. Then, He will return to reign for a thousand years.
We believe -in the bodily resurrection of the dead—eternal life for those who are righteous in Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who are not.
